We had a listener ask us about Trigger, Roy Roger’s golden palomino horse. So, we talked to a man who knew Roy, and could be considered an expert on Trigger, Joel Dortch. I think you’ll enjoy our conversation. For those who are Roy Rogers fans, it will bring back memories.

Gregory Michno and his wife have written a book entitled “A Fate Worse Than Death.” It’s about the thousands of women and children who were kidnapped by Indians during the Plains Indian Wars. We give Gregory a phone call to talk about these people. (The picture is of Olive Oatman who was captured in Arizona at age 13 (1851) by Yavapai Indians.)

Our music this week is by Roy Rogers & Clint Black and also by Juni Fisher.
