WRITER’S GUIDELINES
FOR CHRONICLE OF THE OLD WEST

Chronicle of the Old West is a monthly newspaper for people who enjoy reading about the history of our American West. These are people for whom the Old West is a time and place of the heart.

EDITORIAL CONTENT:

The editorial content of Chronicle of the Old West is actual reprint articles from 1800’s newspapers. All articles originally appeared during the actual month of the edition of Chronicle of the Old West.

SUBMISSION OPPORTUNITIES:

The middle two pages of Chronicle of the Old West are called “The Old West Today.” This is where we have stories about events, books and places to visit so people can enjoy the Old West today.

SUBMISSIONS:

We accept email submissions. Submissions should be emailed to.... Dakota@RavenHeart.com.

PHOTOS/ART:

Photos, maps and art are encouraged and may sway a decision. Material can be black and white or archival material. Private photos are especially valued. Submit photos as an attachment to the emailed article.

ARTICLE LENGTH:

The articles should be between 600 and 800 words in length.
